To ensure a client spot I will need to have you book ahead for at least 6 months to a year. This is so I know where I stand with the amount of clients I can take and know when and if I am able to take new clients if possible. If you do not book ahead I can NOT guarantee I will have time to fit you in and you will have to wait for a cancelation and those that have booked ahead will take priority.
The way I am changing this process is:
From there:
Canceling will push you out to your next booked appointment or you can be put on a cancelation list and you will need to specify what week you would want to be added to if a possible cancelation happens and an appointment becomes available. I am always moving stuff around as I know you are all busy as well and schedules don't always go as planned especially when booked far in advance.
This skip/cancelation list option gives everyone that little bit of wiggle room if you aren't quite ready for your next groom and or you aren't totally sure what your schedule will be like by that time frame.
The bath only option gives a cheaper quicker way to hold off on a groom but still keeps them cleaned and those hairs in between those eyes trimmed and bums cleaned up and of course brushed out to make it to their next groom and in turn opens up spots for full grooms to become available for others.
Please Fill out quiz below to give us a better idea on what you would like for scheduling,
after looking over all changes
Text me with a confirmation of consent form (for liability reasons) and if you want to keep your current upcoming appointment (if you have one set already) or if you are ready to set up your appointments for the rest of the next 6 months to a year.
This quiz will help specify
You are welcome to text me too of course
(be patient with me as I do have a lot of people to get back to)
Two Tails Unleashed is a NO KENNEL business. We do not believe in keeping our pups pent up while we work. We believe they are more comfortable and have more fun being here if they are allowed to be free. Of course if it is necessary we will accommodate and separate your pup if needed to ensure they are safe.
I don't mind working late
(not a morning person, very much a night owl)
If you don't care about time and don't mind the late nights either it would be greatly appreciated if you can take those appointments. Be aware, later appointments can run longer since the days can get behind. Can go as late as 8 (930 the latest)
I AM HOPING THESE CHANGES ALL HELP EVEN THINGS OUT AS I AM JUST TRYING SO HARD TO GET ALL THE INFO OUT THERE AT THE SAME TIME TO EVERYONE AND ORGANIZED A BIT MORE WITH A GAME PLAN AND STRUCTURE SO THE SCHEDULE DOESN'T GET AS MESSY AND IN TURN FREES UP TIME TO BE ABLE TO FOCUS ON GROOMING AND GROWTH OF THE TEAM WHICH IN TURN GIVES MORE TRUSTED PEOPLE TO TURN TO AND MORE AVAILABILITY IN THE LONG RUN.
LONG STORY SHORT I AM TRYING TO CUT DOWN THE TIME IT TAKES BUT THANK YOU FOR BEING SO PATIENT AND UNDERSTANDING.
I just wanted to walk through the process just so you guys have an idea of how everything works. Groom times can take anywhere from an hour for just a bath to 6 hours for grooming to literally all day depending on how many dogs you have Time can also vary depending on even the length of hair, dogs temperament, and dogs size. All dogs are different and take different amounts of time. Typically, I like to ask for 3 to 4 hours for one dog.
I would love to say 2 hours for little ones and 4 hours for big ones but as things have gotten busier it has been difficult to get everyone out in that time frame.
I am hoping as I get organized and find the help that I need, things will only run more efficiently.
I have always taken grooming very slowly for safety reasons and comfortability of the animals. I also love to be able to connect with them, so they are comfortable with me and know that I'm not trying to hurt them or go too fast for their liking. I also really love to give you all that quality groom and make sure they look the best I can get them to look. There are all sorts of reasons why I could get behind though and instead of hurrying through the groom I still take my time. I used to do one-on-one when I first started at home but with how busy things have gotten, I have had to hire a bather and have multiple groomers working with me some of the time. So, this makes it impossible to be able to do dogs straight through, so I book multiple dogs at the same time so while I'm working on one dog, the bather is working on another. As she is also working on the other groomers dogs as well and of course with dogs going in and out all day we will always be stopping to clean as well. (Dogs don't always hold it like we can)
We try our best to keep things flowing the best we can and always are re-adjusting and try to problem solve to make things go faster and more efficient. But as grooming has never been a predictable thing on any given day... things can always happen. Accidents can happen, dogs can come in matted or in moods or have tummy problems or whatever the case, a lot of different things can stop us or slow us down. There are lots of moving parts with running a business at all and let alone an animal business. (They are a bit harder to communicate with) With the check in or check out process (talking with you wonderful people) or texting to book or move everyone's appointments around. Also have dog sitting clients coming and going too even . (Just to name a few possible reasons ).
I like to be as available as possible during my hours but if I do not write you back it is because I have gotten too far behind for the day and will get back to you as soon as I can get a free hand again. So patience is a huge thing with my process and very very appreciated. I definitely am so grateful this past year for all of your patience with me especially.
I don't want to ruin your plans either so if you need to have them picked up by a certain time please let me know on confirmation or drop off and I will try my very best to make sure that happens. I am totally fine to keep them while you go to your plans if you need too.
