A Little bit about us
I (Candace) decided to finally change my business name into something I can grow into as the business expands in the next couple of years. I have been grooming from home for a few years now and have been loving being able to keep things small and personal with my amazing clients all while still being able to be at home. I have been grooming about 13 + years now and always loved the small caring personal business feel as that is what I have always loved supporting small businesses as well. So I can't thank everyone enough for supporting my small business. I will continue to try to keep that small personal caring feel around even as we grow a little as I hope that is one reason you love coming to me as well, because we definitely do care! ❤️
I have had Sam working with me two days a week for a while now as I am sure most of you have met her already. We have been friends and co workers for probably about 12 + years now. She is an absolutely amazing groomer that will make your dog look perfect. Sadly she is down to a few days a month as she phases out of grooming to pursue a different business venture. We may see her around a little bit here and there as it is a hard thing to give up a career and skill and clientele you love so much and have poured so much into for so long.
Unfortunately, we did have a groomer, Bella who has decided to go in a different direction. Which has left me with more clients than I can handle myself and I have been working hard to find ways to make things run smoother and save time in the long run so I don't have to turn too many away and I can keep up that business model and standard I have always stood by and wanted.
I have been training Kat, as she has been with us for a year now and started as our hard working bather and amazing assistant. She has begun to take her own clients NOW, and she has been doing great so far! If you are interested in getting booked with her, please don't be afraid to reach out to me or her! I will be possibly looking to train more potential groomers and bathers and possibly assistants in the near future in hopes to keep a steady team that will have a similar great standard of great grooming as well. So stay tune for more!
Getting personal
I know I don't actually need to explain myself and could just go ahead and make the changes and not get personal about it but I have always lead with my heart in everything I do and I am not about to act like my business is going to be any different.
I hope this is comforting to all of you.
As I know your animals are part of the family and its never easy to trust and leave them with just any ol' person.
I do respect you guys and wanted to give you some background and explain a little bit of the process and where I am at and let you know that I am no super human . I am just figuring it out in life as we all are. It has definitely been trail and error figuring things out as I go.
I am not making changes for any one reason or to hurt or punish anyone and just wanted to make sure that was clear and upfront as this was a hard decision to finally make for myself and my business and anyone that decides to join this team down the road too. Its definitely been a process so far and I know there is a long way to go and I will only be trying to find the most efficient way without compromising the close intimate care I do really strive to provide here.
Why the Changes
I've had to make the few changes as I have been working like crazy for at least a solid year straight dealing with crazy hours and my own personal crazy life changes. I have always worked really long hours since I started grooming 13 years ago and I most likely will continue to work long hours as I definitely love what I do and being able to be convenient and that available person for you all. Unfortunately I do need to slightly take a step back so I can take care of myself and be able to have time for my own loved ones and events. As I am just one person and have been mostly taking care of everything on my own the last few years. Things have gotten crazy and a bit overwhelming to be very upfront and honest with you all.
One big reason, I am taking steps to growing and expanding and finding those great people to fill in when I can't always be around.
Keep in mind while looking through the changes and my processes that I am a home business.
I am not a big corporate business, I don't have just a ton of people taking care of stuff for me, I take care of most of it on my own and I like to be seen as a human as I don't just look at any of you or your furry friends as a number.
I do take my time and pour in my heart and soul and good honest hard work to be able to take care of whatever you may need to the best of my ability.
That being said please take a look at each section to find out more.
am i the right fit for you
I know I'm not the groomer for everyone and that's okay. You have every right to decide that my process doesn't work for you and someone else might be a better fit for you. I won't be offended.
Sometimes finding a groomer who works best for you is tough and we may not be the best fit for you whether it be because of scheduling, hours, or even the style of grooming; I will completely understand if you decide you need to look at your options.
(BUT also I obviously really would hate to lose you as a client too as I have grown so close to so many of you and am very attached to some of your pets. I will try my best to fit everyone in and make it work for you the best that I can)
I always try to be as accommodating as I can. So if there is certain days that you need me to get done faster then let me know ahead of time so I can try to plan for that accordingly if possible. I am fine with people dropping off earlier then their appointment time as long as it's within our hours or has been agreed upon. If that is something that makes things easier on you and I'm totally fine with your pups hanging out for as long as I need till you can pick up again. So there is never a rush on my end unless for some reason I tell you ahead of time I need them to be picked up by a certain time but that's hardly ever the case.
The Changes
HOURS-
Please make sure to check out my current hours. I had to start enforcing hours more because sometimes I end up working almost 24/7 between the daily grooming for 8-12 hours, dog sitting and all the exceptions I was continually making for everyone. It has turned into almost a daily occurrence and really cutting into just the most simple things for myself like a quick workout or even a shower in the morning . I know I am home most of the time and it may not seem like it would be that big of a deal and sometimes its not a big deal at all. Honesty I really am happy to help most of the time but I need to enforce it and not open my door until 930 so I can make my personal appointments work as well. So please try to get a family member or neighbor or friend or plan accordingly. If you absolutely need to drop off early please ask if its a possibility but it just depends on the day and who is available. There will be fees for super early drop offs and super late pickups. Late pickups fees will mostly be enforced with dog sitting and weekends. Thank you for being understanding and respectful to this. ❤️
PRICES-
Groomers have been undercharging for their services for some time now. Now as much as we all love those cute fluffy friends of ours, animals can be unpredictable and grooming them can be hard dirty taxing work. Groomers are a dying breed and it's hard to find good hardworking dedicated people to stick with it for the long run and especially at low prices. Even as prices for everything have gone up and groomers everywhere have started raising their prices I have kept mine at a decently low price for as long as I can and have only slowly raised little by little every year for the sake of you all. I would like to stick to a high grooming standard as I don't just hire anyone and will only stand by people I trust to give the same type of care to these animals. I am all about quality and care over quantity here and to ensure the great grooming community continues to grow (instead of dwindle like it has been) for the great growing community of dog lovers to be able to turn to, I do need to start charging my worth and pave the way for other newer amazing groomers so we can all show up the way we need to and feel respected and appreciated as well.We are sorry if this is an inconvenience for you and I will understand if it does not work for you and your budget. I will try to give some advice on how to maintain things a little more if this absolutely something you cant keep up as I understand things can get tight at times.

DOG SITTING-
I am slightly changing my dog sitting policies and prices.
I have tried to keep prices low and be available as much as possible for your benefit so I can watch those cute fur babies for you and give you that peace of mind so you can enjoy your trips. I do love being able to be that person for you and absolutely love having your pups especially when I am home most of the time anyway. I will be adding a Holiday fee, and we will no longer be accepting pickups or drop offs the day of the Holidays as i would also like to enjoy myself during the holidays. Weekend pickups and drop offs will only be allowed if discussed and agreed upon, no last-minute pickups and drop offs on weekends will be allowed. If I do happen to leave, I have someone step in and stay at my house to make sure everyone is taken care of. This is one reason I need to enforce my hours of drop offs and pickups (I can't expect others to make exceptions like I have been)
